One rescued from Vulcan Hill crash
KAYLEE LINDENMUTH/ SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - A Subaru Forester is on its side on Route 54 at Buck Mountain Road on Oct. 28, 2023.
MAHANOY CITY – One person had to be rescued from an overturned SUV near this borough Saturday night.
The crash happened around 10pm on Route 54 near Buck Mountain Road.
A Toyota sedan collided with a Subaru Forester, rolling the SUV on its side.
The occupant of that SUV had to be rescued from the vehicle by Mahanoy City West End firefighters.
Minor injuries were reported in the crash and both vehicles were towed.
Route 54 was closed eastbound from White Owl Drive to Morea Road during the incident.
Also responding were troopers from the State Police at Frackville and EMS from Shenandoah.
