SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – In case it wasn’t clear enough, PennDOT’s added plenty of reminders that dumping trash along Route 924 is against the law.

No Littering and No Parking signs now line the entire stretch of the highway between the Brandonville/Pattersonville wye and the top of the descent into Brandonville.

This follows a PennDOT-led cleanup of the heavily-littered stretch on the West Mahanoy and Union township line.

West Mahanoy Township cited three people for dumping trash there earlier this month.

Of those three, one pleaded guilty, another faces summary trial on Monday, and a third was unable to be served a summons.
