New Ringtown councilman, Union supervisor sworn in

RINGTOWN – Two re-elected members of Ringtown Borough Council and Union Township’s new supervisor were sworn-in Tuesday night.

Jeff Blanchek and Chris Brokenshire were re-elected to borough council in November’s election along with Ian Murray.

Murray was unable to attend Tuesday’s swearing-in ceremony during Ringtown’s reorganization meeting and will be sworn in at a later date.

Since Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli was already in the valley for the Ringtown meeting, newly-elected Union Township supervisor Jeremy Rhoads was able to attend and be sworn in to his post as well ahead of their meeting at 7pm.

Ringtown Mayor Phil Beaver presided as council unanimously re-elected Len Kamarousky as president.

Tom Murray was elected council vice-president, and all other previous appointments were retained.
