Shenandoah man cited for backing into utility pole, taking off

RINGTOWN – A Shenandoah man is facing a pair of traffic citations after State Police say he backed his Jeep into a utility pole and left the scene.

The incident happened around 5pm Sunday on West Main Street near Bridge Street.

State Police at Frackville said Victor Hunsicker, 59, of Shenandoah, was backing out of a driveway on West Main Street in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

As he was backing up, he struck a utility pole. The impact pulled wires out of the siding of a home at 617 West Main Street.

Hunsicker left the scene and was later identified and located.

Troopers cited Hunsicker for “limitations on backing” and leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to unattended property.
