Shen. Sentinel photographer wins Keystone Media Award

SHENANDOAH – The Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association announced today the winners of its 2021 Professional Keystone Media Award Winners, and the Sentinel‘s Kaylee Lindenmuth was one of them.

Lindenmuth’s photo of Shenandoah Rescue Hook and Ladder firefighter Derrick Donchak at the United Wiping Cloth fire on January 17, 2020, won first place for Breaking News Photo in the under 10,000 circulation category.

“The Keystone Media Awards reinforce excellence by individuals in the news media profession, by recognizing journalism that consistently provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers and audiences, and faithfully fulfills its First Amendment rights/responsibilities,” a description of the contest on the association’s website reads. “Further, the Keystone Media Awards stimulate journalists to improve their craft and ultimately improve their community.”

Around 2,600 entries were received from 117 news organizations across the Commonwealth.
