Road closure planned in Hazleton’s Heights neighborhood
HAZLETON – Beginning next Monday, the link between one part of Hazleton and the beltway.
South Poplar Street will be closed at the railroad crossing near 601 South Poplar Street beginning August 25, the Hazleton Fire Department said this week.
The closure is to allow for drainage repairs and will be in both directions until September 12.
The fire department says drivers in the Heights neighborhood won’t be able to get to the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Beltway and vice versa.
