Pattersonville crash sends Ringtown teen to hospital

PATTERSONVILLE – A Ringtown teen suffered minor injuries in an early morning crash in this Union Township village Monday.

State Police at Frackville said the crash happened around 5:45am at the intersection of Ringtown Boulevard and Firehouse Road.

Troopers said 60-year-old Robert Minnick, of McAdoo, was headed eastbound on Ringtown Boulevard in a 2009 Nissan Sentra, when he was rear-ended by a 2016 Ford Taurus, driven by 19-year-old Scott Kline, of Ringtown.

Kline was distracted and unable to stop, troopers said.

The vehicles were suffered minor damage, troopers said, and Klie was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill for treatment of minor injuries.
