RINGTOWN – A new fence erected by a Breisch Road resident to keep people from the adjacent Ringtown Valley Recreation Complex out of their yard caused concern when it appeared to some to be an electric fence.

Traffic barrels and cones, along with caution tape, were present between the Ringtown Little League field and the new fence Tuesday afternoon.

The fence lines the backyard of 21 Breisch Road and is within feet of the Little League field and its access road.

A Facebook post made Monday by the Ringtown Little League said the fence appeared to be electric.

The fence, however, is a set of metal posts connected with a piece of string. There is no clear power source for the fence if it was electric.

Most other homes along Breisch Road that abut the recreational complex either have arborvitae separating its yard from the complex, or nothing at all.

Fencing regulations are generally determined by local zoning ordinances.
