RINGTOWN – Police from Columbia County were led on a pursuit into the Ringtown Valley early this morning.

Locust Township Police said they made contact with a suspicious vehicle at Numidia Community Park. Officers said the man claimed he was William Rossman, though he was actually Clarence Rossman.

Rossman began to argue with officers before fleeing in his vehicle.

Officers gave chase, and the man fled to Ringtown, where he crashed into a trailer at the end of a dead-end street and fled on foot.

Police officers from Columbia, Schuylkill, and Northumberland Counties responded to assist in locating Rossman, including Bloomsburg’s K-9 unit, though he is still at large, and may still be in the Ringtown area.

Police describe Rossman as a light-skinned black male, approximately 5’9″ tall, and 160lbs, wearing a navy blue jacket and black winter hat.

He is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of dangerous drugs, in addition to pending felony charges out of Locust Township.

Anyone who knows Rossman’s whereabouts or sees him should call 911.
