Heights, Ringtown firefighters tackle Jeep fire at wind farm

SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – Firefighters from Shenandoah Heights and Ringtown Valley handled a vehicle fire at the Locust Ridge II wind farm Saturday night.

Crews were called to the wind farm around 11:30pm for reports of a Jeep on fire.

West Mahanoy Township Police and Shenandoah EMS arrived on scene first, finding a fully-involved 1990’s Jeep, which had been off-roading when the fire broke out.

Shenandoah Heights firefighters responded, with Ringtown Valley added to the call as the incident was in Union Township.

Fire crews had the fire under control in short order and were clear of the scene by 12:30am.

No injuries were reported.
