Hazleton Police investigating shots fired

HAZLETON – Police here are investigating a shooting earlier this week.

Police received notification through the Raven Gunshot Detection System around 4:45pm Tuesday that shots had been fired near 17th and Alter.

There, officers found numerous shell casings and a parked car with bullet holes.

The victim had gone to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton where he had a wound to his right index finger.

Hazleton Police detectives are investigating.
