In total, between grant funding and cost sharing, the companies will spend $834,300 to replace their complete inventory of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, or SCBAs.

SCBAs are vital pieces of lifesaving equipment and are used by firefighters daily, and the new equipment will be state of the art.

The AFG program allows departments to maintain that firefighter safety and survival is the number one priority in ensuring that firefighters are equipped with the most current and up to date equipment on the market.
