Commissioner Staudenmeier passes away, remembered by many around county

POTTSVILLE – Today, our county lost a commissioner, a family lost a loved one, and many in Schuylkill County lost a friend. Commissioner Frank Staudenmeier passed away today, according to published reports.

Staudenmeier, 69, of Butler Township, has been a county commissioner since 2002, and is survived by a wife, Kate, two children and four grandchildren.

Shortly after news broke, many on social media expressed sadness regarding the loss.

“Wow we lost a great leader! RIP friend!” wrote Gary Perna Jr. in a public Facebook post.

“RIP Commissioner Staudenmeier…you made a tremendous impact in our County,” wrote Danielle Boris.

Our best wishes are with Staudenmeier’s family and friends.
