MAHANOY CITY – A man is behind bars on a warrant and will soon face charges for DUI and driving with a suspended license after his vehicle took down the Welcome to Mahanoy City sign on the west end this morning.

The crash occurred around 10:30am, when John Blashock, behind the wheel of a Pontiac, veered off the roadway and struck the sign.
