Car flips, catches fire in rural Ryan
PARK CREST – A Barnesville man was taken to a Coaldale hospital after crashing his car in rural Ryan Township early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 2:00am Wednesday in the 100 block of Chee Street near Park Crest village, according to State Police at Frackville.
Daniel McManus, 40, of Barnesville was headed west on Chee Street in a Pontiac Grand Prix when he missed a turn, drove off the roadway, and struck several trees.
The car flipped and caught fire.
Ryan Township and Delano Township firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
McManus was taken by Ryan Township EMS to St. Luke’s – Coaldale for treatment of injuries, and troopers said he will be cited for the crash.
