HAZLETON – It’s looking a little more like Christmas in one local school district and, no, it wasn’t Wednesday morning’s snowfall.
The Hazleton Area School District Administration Building welcomed the holiday season with its 5th annual Tree Trimming event.
“Our annual Tree Trimming Event is one of the most joyful traditions in our district,” said Dr. Brian T. Uplinger, Superintendent of Schools. “It brings our school community together in a way that highlights creativity, inclusivity, and the spirit of the season. We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration so special.”
It brings together students, staff, and families for a festive community celebration.
This year’s decorations were handmade by students from the HACC special needs classes, whose creativity and hard work added a meaningful and personal touch to the district’s holiday display.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their cheerful elves, members of the Hazleton Area Spirit Club, greeted students as they arrived.
The Hazleton Area High School Chorus filled the atrium with holiday cheer, performing a selection of Christmas carols during the event as students enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies.
