East Union police chief resigns

SHEPPTON – East Union Township is seeking a new police chief.

At a special meeting Thursday afternoon, supervisors voted to accept the resignation of its current police chief, Thomas “TJ” Rentschler.

They followed up with a vote to advertise the position.

Rentschler is also police chief in Mahanoy City.
