Two injured in Delano crash

DELANO – Two were injured when a minivan struck a guiderail near the I-81 overpass at Delano Saturday evening.

According to State Police at Frackville, a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country with four occupants was travelling eastbound on Hazel Street just before 10:00pm, when the van struck a guiderail.

Two occupants, Rita Nelson, 34, of Mahanoy City, and a 10-year-old girl from Mahanoy City were injured, troopers said, and checked at the scene by Ryan Township EMS. Neither were transported.

Driver Richard Sillars, 42, of Mahanoy City, was uninjured.
