KLINE TOWNSHIP – State Police at Frackville yesterday released information on an incident in January where they say two PennDOT plows roadblocked a wrong way drunk driver on Interstate 81.

According to troopers, around 1:00am on Sunday, January 20, a 2015 Mercedes Benz G Class was reported driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 near mile marker 138, near McAdoo.

Troopers spotted the vehicle around mile marker 135 and attempted a traffic stop.

The Mercedes continued, passing multiple vehicles head-on.

Around mile marker 134, two PennDOT plow trucks stopped side-by-side, blocking the roadway and effectively stopping the Mercedes.

The driver of the Mercedes, Harry Kress, 37, of Conyngham, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.
