Flames wreck Ryan Township home overnight

PARK CREST – Firefighters from across northern Schuylkill County tackled a house fire overnight.

Crews were called to a home at 38 Williams Street in Ryan Township just after 2am for a reported house fire.

Flames could be seen in the distance as the first units were on the way.

A tanker task force was initially called as crews arrived to find a multi-story home well-involved.

The fire was brought under control within about 40 minutes followed by extensive overhaul.

No injuries were initially reported and a cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Firefighters from Ryan Township, Mahanoy City, Hometown, Delano, Englewood, Shenandoah, Ringtown, Tuscarora, Walker Township, Weatherly, and more responded to assist.
