Gordon fire officials said the resident was working on his bike in the shed and had a propane heat source, which is believed to have caused the fire.

The quick response, firefighters said, kept the fire contained to the shed.

Also responding along with Gordon and Ashland firefighters was Shenandoah Ambulance.

Thursday’s fire was also the first for the Citizens Fire Co. of Gordon’s new Tanker 46-30.
