PSP: Borough woman swiped Bluetooth speaker from Dollar General

TURKEY RUN – A borough woman is accused of stealing a Bluetooth speaker from Dollar General at the Gold Star Plaza earlier this month.

Christina Yoza, 45, of 110 North Main, is facing misdemeanor retail theft and receiving stolen property charges.

According to a criminal complaint filed Monday by Trooper Ryan Sverchek of the State Police at Frackville, troopers were called to the Dollar General at 8pm Jan. 7 for a reported retail theft.

The store’s assistant manager was cleaning the floor and found a Craig Bluetooth portable tower speaker box and packaging strewn about the floor. The speaker, valued at $25, was missing.

According to video surveillance, at 4:45pm that day, a male suspect removed the speaker box and exited view of the cameras. A few minutes later, the male approached the exit without the speaker, while a female with him held the speaker in her left hand. Neither purchased the speaker, store staff told police.

Borough Police Patrolman Marvin Livergood viewed the video and identified the female as Yoza.

Troopers spoke to Yoza outside her residence on Jan. 13 and, according to the criminal complaint, she admitted to leaving the store without paying for the speaker.
