CRESSONA – This year’s Ashland Little League 9-11 All-Star squad will go down in history as the first Ashland Little League squad to win two banners, and Saturday begins their quest for a third.

Ashland won the Section 3 championship over Selinsgrove in decisive fashion Tuesday.

Opening an 8-0 lead in the first, Ashland dominated Tuesday’s game, a rematch of the day prior.

Ashland put Selinsgrove in a must-score situation in the 4th, taking an 11-run lead entering the bottom of the 4th.

Selinsgrove couldn’t answer, giving Ashland the 10-run rule victory after four, and the Section 3 title.

The Little Leaguers were welcomed home to Ashland with a parade, escorted by the Ashland Fire Department.
