The Shenandoah squad was one of two mini-B teams from northern Schuylkill County to make playoffs, the other being Ashland. In the mini-A bracket, northern Schuylkill was represented by Frackville and Ashland.

Prior to Sunday’s game, the announcer asked all in the stadium to bow their heads in prayer for North Schuylkill senior Jaden Leiby, who was critically injured Friday night in the Spartans’ championship game against the Pottsville Crimson Tide.

As usual, the Shenandoah and Mt. Carmel Mini-C teams faced off in an unscored scrimmage prior to the Mini-B game.
