HS SOCCER: Nativity boys fall to Crimson Tide, 4-2

POTTSVILLE – The Nativity BVM soccer team began their season yesterday, facing their crosstown rival Pottsville High.

The Hilltoppers squad consists of players from Nativity and Shenandoah Valley, via a co-op agreement between the two schools.

A stellar hat-trick performance by Pottsville’s LaBrandon Kessock-Haney, coupled with a goal by Chase Fenstermacher, gave Pottsville an insurmountable advantage, leading to a final score of 4-2.

The two Nativity goals were scored by players hailing from Shenandoah Valley.

Next up for the Hilltoppers is the home opener, against Tamaqua Area on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
