SHENANDOAH – The Blue Devils were no match for either the weather or the region’s leading rusher in Friday night’s matchup at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The 2-6 Devils hosted the 6-2 Williams Valley Vikings for Senior Night. Williams Valley entered the game atop the Schuylkill/Colonial Co-Op’s Blue Division, half a game over Marian Catholic.

The Vikings took control of the game quickly, led by Alex Achenbach, who eclipsed 2,000 rushing yards on the season in the game via 240 yards rushed.

Those yards included four touchdowns to give the Vikings a sizable advantage.

Marcus Shoop would also break away two long touchdown runs to add to the Vikings advantage.

Rainy conditions neutralized Shenandoah’s passing attack as they struggled to find an answer.
