DOH: 16 residents with COVID-19 at Shen. Manor, at least 1 death reported

SHENANDOAH – According to data released by the Pennsylvania Department of Health Tuesday afternoon, at least one person has died from COVID-19 at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, and 16 residents have the virus.

The Department of Health released data on COVID-19 cases at personal care homes and skilled nursing facilities in the Commonwealth.

The data only included two of the four nursing facilities in northern Schuylkill County — Shenandoah Manor and Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The Manor, on East Washington Street, had 16 resident cases of COVID-19, the Department of Health said Tuesday. Specific numbers were not provided for employee cases or deaths, as the total is between one and five, the department said.

The Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center had between one and five resident cases and between one and five employee cases. No deaths were reported.

No data was available for Ridgeview in Shenandoah Heights or Broad Mountain in Frackville.
