Cove man charged for swiping neighbor’s spotlights

COVE VILLAGE – A 59-year-old man is accused of swiping his 60-year-old neighbor’s outdoor spotlights in this North Union Township community.

State Police at Frackville said they were called to a home on Hay Stack Drive around 7:30am Sept. 25.

Troopers said that 59-year-old Francis Szeliga came onto his neighbor’s back deck and took two outdoor flood lights, valued at $20.

Szeliga is now facing misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking, misdemeanor loitering and prowling at nighttime, and summary criminal trespass charges.

A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 25 in Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli’s Frackville courtroom.
