SHENANDOAH – A collapsing West Arlington Street home will soon be demolished.

Monday night, Borough Council approved the purchase of 207 West Arlington Street for $1 from the county repository list.

The home — which has been abandoned for at least 10 years and had trash, along with two beds, piled on its porch — collapsed at the rear of the home last week, adjacent to the backyards of neighboring occupied homes.
