Ashland man injured in Darkwater rollover
DARKWATER – An Ashland man was taken to a Pottsville hospital for treatment of injuries after a rollover crash in this New Castle Township village last week.
State Police at Frackville released information on the crash Tuesday.
Troopers said the crash happened around 8:30am Thursday on Route 61 about a quarter mile south of Darkwater Road.
Richard Barnes Jr., 33, of Ashland, was headed south on Route 61 in a 2017 Ford Focus when his vehicle left the road for unknown reasons, striking an embankment, and rolling severla times before coming to a rest on the roof.
The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing.
Barnes was treated by Shenandoah Ambulance and taken to a Pottsville hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Troopers said he will be cited for the crash.
