Gas main upgrades begin in Hazle Township
HARLEIGH – A gas main upgrade project began this week in Hazle Township and is expected to last through the summer.
UGI Utilities says work is underway to install a new natural gas main on Route 940 between Hillside Drive and Christine Road and on Christine Road from there to Harleigh Boulevard. This is all in the village of Harleigh, Hazle Township.
Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.
Drivers should expect traffic restrictions.
Work is expected to last through mid-August.
Weather and working conditions may have an impact on the completion date. After underground work is complete, final paving and restoration will occur later.
