SV Schools dismiss early due to water main break; businesses close

SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Valley School District is dismissing early Tuesday and several businesses are closed as the area deals with water issues.

The district says they are dismissing early “in an abundance of caution due to the water main break.”

The high school lets out at 11:45am followed by the elementary center at 12:15pm.

Numerous other businesses in town closed due to the break, too.

Kowalonek’s Kielbasy Shop on South Main Street closed “due to circumstances beyond our control,” citing the break.

Villa Day Care Center on East Washington Street closed early Tuesday.

Also closed Tuesday is Francesco’s Restaurant on North Main Street.
