Flames damage Mahanoy City kitchen

MAHANOY CITY – A kitchen fire drew the response of the Mahanoy City Fire Department Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to 635 West Spruce Street around 11:15am for the reported fire.
The bulk of the fire was knocked down before crews arrived and damage was contained to the kitchen area of the row home.
No injuries were reported.
Responding along with the Mahanoy City Fire Department were units from Shenandoah Ambulance, Mahanoy City Police, and Mahanoy Township Police.
