SHENANDOAH – If you could imagine it, a child was probably dressed like it Saturday afternoon as the annual Shenandoah Halloween Parade made its way through downtown.

Children of all ages participated in the annual parade, which began on West Oak Street by the Shenandoah High Rise.

Costumes were wide ranging, based on Elsa from Frozen, a police officer, firefighter, ninja, Scream, and more.

Even the members of the Shenandoah Valley Marching Band, which participated in the parade, were dressed up, as senior Kayla Perrong portrayed Marvel character Doctor Strange, and Kaitlyn Carduff and Jackie Bubnis portrayed Sesame Street characters Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch.

The parade concluded at the Shenandoah Manor, where various activity tables were set up and participants received candy and other treats.

The annual event is put on by the Shenandoah Recreation Committee.
