MAHANOY CITY – A Mahanoy wrestler who placed third in the PIAA state wrestling tournament this weekend in Hershey was recognized with a parade through his hometown Saturday evening.

Colin Fegley, a Mahanoy senior, downed Hunter Tremain, from North Star in Somerset County, earlier today at the Giant Center in Hershey.

At 6:30pm, the Mahanoy City Fire Department and Ryan Township Fire Company led Fegley on a parade through the borough, in the same fashion as the district champion Golden Bear girls’ basketball team a few weeks ago.

The parade began at the Mahanoy Area School District complex, and made its way down Centre Street to the east end, and down Mahanoy back to the school.

Led and followed by fire apparatus, Fegley participated in the parade sitting on the rear tailgate of a Chevy Colorado pickup, waving at community members along the way.
