Hazleton PD adds new K-9

HAZLETON – The Hazleton police force has a new four-legged patrolman.
K-9 Keiko, a German Shepherd, is joining the force alongside Patrolman Svoronos, the Hazleton Police Department announced recently.
The pair are training through August and will return to patrol.
Keiko is named in honor of a K9 who worked during a 9/11 research study, the department said.
Keiko comes from Penn Vet Working Dogs.
