Borough Police: Woman robbed on North Bower
SHENANDOAH – Borough Police are investigating an apparent mugging on the east end.
Police said the incident happened in the 100 block of North Bower Street Thursday.
A woman walking north was ambushed by a male who displayed a handgun in the waist of his pants.
The woman initially refused interaction, at which point the man reached into the pocket of her overcoat and swiped a cigarette purse, fleeing north on Bower towards Coal Street.
The suspected is described as a lighter, possibly Hispanic, male in his 20’s, with a medium build, wearing black clothing and a black face mask.
The woman was uninjured in the incident.
