Amazon to open fulfillment center near Tremont

JOLIETT – Online retail giant Amazon is set to open its first warehouse in Schuylkill County soon.
The 1.2 Million square foot warehouse is located between Tremont and Joliett in Frailey Township.
Amazon will operate the facility as a fulfillment center, and job listings on their website are seeking associates at up to $21.65/hr with start dates in October.
The company already has facilities in the Humboldt Industrial Park near Hazleton.
