HS FOOTBALL: Devils fall to Panther Valley, 34-6
SHENANDOAH – The Blue Devils couldn’t ride the momentum of Tuesday’s win to a victory Saturday, as Panther Valley dominated this afternoon’s ball game.
The Panthers took control of the game early, taking a 14-0 lead into the locker room at halftime, which they would extend to 21-0 on the first play of the second half.
An Owen Kosar-to-Aaryn Nickerson pass put the Blue Devils on the board early in the 4th, though Panther Valley led 28-6 at that point.
Another score late would give Panther Valley a 34-6 lead which they would take until the end of the game.
Shenandoah Valley (1-7) heads on the road for the last two games of their season, facing the 3-4 Golden Bears of Mahanoy Area in Mahanoy City for the Route 54 Rivalry next Friday. Then, on Nov. 6, the Devils travel to the East Penn Valley of Berks County to face the 0-5 Cougars of Kutztown Area.
