Date set for annual Mrs T’s Community Picnic, National Pierogy Day flag raising

SHENANDOAH – This year, Mrs T’s Pierogies will celebrate the 11th anniversary of National Pierogy Day with two annual events.
Next Sunday, October 6, their annual community picnic will be held behind the plant on Herald Road, featuring free food, entertainment, and “fun for the entire family. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and of course pierogies will be served, with music by DJ Dave Smith, children’s activities, and more. The event will be held from 11am to 3pm.
The event is free, though a ticket is required, which can be found at a variety of local businesses: They are

- Lucky’s Kielbasi Shop, 720 West Centre,
Also to be held is a National Pierogy Day Flag Raising at Borough Hall. At 10am on October 8, borough and company officials will gather at the flagpole to raise the flag. The first 25 attendees will receive a prize.
