SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah Valley Marching Band and cheerleading alumni from as far back as the 1970s and as recently as the class of 2019 had the opportunity to march once again, as the Shenandoah Valley Alumni Band performed its 20th Anniversary show Friday night.
The band, under the direction of Kim Brown, combined with the current high school band as they paraded from downtown Shenandoah to the football field for homecoming, as well as in the stands and for a special halftime field show.
Some alumni returned from out-of-state for the performance, while others still live locally.
Each alumni band member received a T-Shirt and a sticker for their right sleeve, designating their graduating class.
Alumni members from all units of the band — Honor Guard, Color Guard, majorettes, percussion, and the band itself — plus cheerleaders participated in this year’s alumni band performance.
Following the football game, a social was held at the Glover’s Hill Athletic Club.
