Man stabbed in overnight fight, Shenandoah teen arrested
SHENANDOAH – One man was flown to a trauma center and a teen is behind bars on assault charges after a stabbing downtown overnight.
Bryce Beaver, 18, of 239 East Lloyd is charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment for the incident.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Shenandoah Police Captain Travis Bowman, officers were called to 110 North Main for a reported stabbing just before 3:30am.
Police found Juan Sanchez outside with the caller.
Beaver and Sanchez, police said, engaged in a fight at 110 North Main which led to Beaver stabbing Sanchez.
Sanchez was first treated by the 911 caller, who applied gauze to his three stab wounds, which ranged from his rib cage to his lower hip.
Shenandoah Ambulance arrived and treated the man before transporting him to the Shenandoah helipad to be flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital -Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township.
Beaver was arrested Wednesday morning and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker. He was committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to $50,000 cash bail.
