Students recognized at SV School Board meeting

SHENANDOAH – “These students exemplify an optimistic attitude, continuous effort and hard work with academics, and set a good example for the rest of the students in the school.” Shenandoah Valley Elementary School Principal Brooke Wowak said as she introduced September’s Students of the Month during Wednesday’s school board meeting. Students from grades 4K through 6th were recognized as students of the month, and awarded a certificate, T-Shirt, and an invitation to the school board meeting to be recognized.

Wowak then introduced Sixth Grader Michael Papa, who gave a report on Elementary School events and announced the other Students of the Month in the Elementary School.

Following Papa’s report, Superintendent Brian Waite asked all Students of the Month in attendance to come to the front of the room to be recognized and congratulated.

Waite had a few words of encouragement for the students.

“I would like to say congratulations to each and every one of you for being recognized as student of the month. I appreciate you coming here and I want to continue to encourage you to do well every day and do your best in the classroom every day. Alright? It’s quite an honor to be recognized by your teachers at your grade level and then to be recognized here at a board meeting and again I thank you for coming and everything that you do, I appreciate, in the classroom, keep up the good work!”
