Shenandoah, North Schuylkill bands receive grants

SHENANDOAH – For three years in a row, the bands at Shenandoah Valley and North Schuylkill each received a $1,000 grant from the Peter R. Marsh Foundation.
The grants, the school’s band directors said, were received “for staging musical performances specifically aimed at the adult population in our community.”
Both schools will use the grants to promote music in the community through student engagement and activity.
North Schuylkill is under the direction of Jacob Shoener, and Shenandoah Valley is under the direction of John Shoener.
