Sentinel photographer nominated for Pottsville newspaper’s “Readers’ Choice” contest

SHENANDOAH – ​The Shenandoah Sentinel’s multimedia journalist has been nominated for the Pottsville Republican-Herald’s reader’s choice competition in the photographer category.

Kaylee Lindenmuth, the Sentinel’s primary writer, photographer, and editor, is among a wide ranging group of photographers nominated in the contest, and is not the only northern Schuylkill photographer nominated. Others from our area include Sheppton-based Fire & Film and Shenandoah’s Mary Sajone.

Lindenmuth has photographed many community and breaking news events, as well as sports and a variety of nature and landscapes, highlighting northern Schuylkill County.

Voting for the contest opened today and runs through noon on March 13. Voters can vote once per day per category.

Northern Schuylkill is well-represented in other categories as well, with Union Township’s Ringtown Valley Veterinary Hospital nominated for veterinarian, Frackville’s Beauty Bar nominated for Beauty Salon, Shenandoah’s Kielbasi Fest and the Friendship Fire Company of Englewood’s block party nominated for block party, J.T. Thomas, Shenandoah, nominated for live entertainer.
