The sedan attempted to cross Centre Street to continue south, crossing into the path of the Jeep.

That Jeep swerved to avoid the car, driving up onto the sidewalk, avoiding both the Chevrolet, parked cars, and a porch.

No injuries were reported. Shenandoah firefighters responded along with Shenandoah police and West Centre Street was briefly closed from Chestnut to Catherine.

Gilbert and Centre Street has seen more than its fair share of vehicle accidents over the years.

Between 2009 and 2019, it was one of only three intersections in town to average at least one crash a year, one of which resulted in a fatality.
