SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah Valley graduate was one of two students at Lebanon Valley College who was able to gain on-the-job experience via an internship, thanks to the college’s Steven K. and Wendie DiMatteo Holsinger Internship Fund.

Noah Allegretta, a 2017 Shenandoah Valley grad and senior LVC psychology major, was among the fund’s most recent recipients, according to a media release posted to the Lebanon County-based college’s website.

The fund “helps students with reasonable costs associated with an internship including a stipend and travel and living expenses,” according to the college.

Allegretta completed an internship with a guidance counselor in town, the school says.

“Being in a school atmosphere was my favorite part of the experience,” Allegretta, who is also a member of the LVC football team, said in the release. “I want to work with younger students and aid them through all aspects, and this internship helped me gain experience into what exactly a guidance counselor does.”

“I want to thank LVC for making my experience so much easier,” Allegretta added. “The DiMatteo-Holsinger Internship Fund made it possible for me to pursue my goals.”
