HS SOCCER: Shenandoah boys perfect at home in inaugural season, defeat Tri-Valley 6-1

SHENANDOAH – The Blue Devils left no question who owns Veterans Memorial Stadium in their first season of competition.

The boys hosted Tri-Valley Monday evening in the second of two home games this year.

Kevin Gasca opened scoring for the Devils just shy of 9 minutes into the game with a header, adding a second about four minutes later.

Tri-Valley would answer with 24 minutes left in the first half, scoring the first goal of for a visiting boys soccer team at Veterans Memorial Stadium, but that would be all.

The Devils would add four more goals to take a decisive 6-1 victory over the Bulldogs.

With a 5-0 victory over North Schuylkill earlier this season, Shenandoah swept their home games while outscoring their opponents 11-1 on their home turf.

The Devils improved to 7-7 on the year with the victory.

They have one more scheduled game, this Thursday on the road at Notre Dame – East Stroudsburg.
