HS FOOTBALL: Spartans dominate Olympians, 36-0

LANSFORD, Carbon County – North Schuylkill’s undefeated season continues.

In a neutral-site game Friday night, at Panther Valley’s field in Lansford, Jim Thorpe and North Schuylkill both entered undefeated.

Despite that, North Schuylkill Head Coach Wally Hall said they approached the game the same way they would any other.

KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL – A North Schuylkill receiver and Jim Thorpe defender contend for a pass in the endzone.

“It’s the same. Offensively, we want to come in and play as fast as we can and try to be on the attack, and the same thing defensively,” Hall told reporters after the game.

The Spartans were able to outrun and outgun the Olympians on the ground and in the air throughout the match-up.

“Our kids are playing well. They’re playing good football and they’re having fun,” Hall said.

The scoring for NS began early, with a Jake Hall pass to Josh Chowansky for 22 yards. Hall would find a receiver for paydirt two more times throughout the game, while the two Chowansky’s — Jaxson and Josh — would add two scores on the ground, giving NS a 36-0 advantage by the end.
