Girardville St. Pat’s parade cancelled

GIRARDVILLE – The Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade is officially off.

A media release issued March 16 detailed the cancellation.

“The Girardville Parade Committee announces that due to public health and safety concerns for residents and parade participants, spectators, and officials, the March 28 Saint Patrick’s Parade has been cancelled,” the release stated. “No new date has been set for the parade.”

Officials confirmed the news to the Sentinel Sunday afternoon, noting a media release would be issued Monday.

In addition to the parade, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians dance set for March 21 is postponed and will be rescheduled.
